Cooking in a Strawbox!

We were having a rice dish for lunch; and so we decided to use a Straw Box Oven to cook it in. First we found some cardboard boxes then we taped them together and put straw in between them.

In the kitchen, Mummy was preparing the food.

Prepared vegetables, bacon and uncooked rice

Then Mummy poured the boiling water into the rice.

Once the food was up to boiling, we put the pot into the Straw Box Oven:

We sealed the lid on with Duck Tape:

and…waited…and waited then eventualy it was cooked and it tasted delicious. It took about 2.5 hours

I cant wait to try it again!
